Thoughts in the morning...

For some reason, I can not sleep past 6:30 while I am in other countries, no matter how exhausted I think I am.  (Okay, on second thought, Bethany just reminded me that we actually went to bed at 8:30...so I guess that's 10 hours of sleep. Ha. Nevermind...) So anyway, I am sitting here, on the narrow little porch outside my room looking at the mountains over rooftops absolutely in awe of the beauty of this place.

Imagine waking up to the soft sound of birds songs echoing off mountains. Dogs bark in the distance, an occasional car rumbles over the black cobblestones, and church bells and music can be heard somewhere far off. (Yep, they're already playing that happy Central American music loudly in the streets this early in the morning. Forget soft wake up music, they're already awake and probably dancing in their kitchen.)

Last night we followed some tourists to a taco shop where we got two huge chicken or beef tacos for 15q- roughly two dollars. They made them right in front of us and they were SO GOOD. Sorry Taco Bell, you've got nothin'.

After that, we crashed...traveling is soo exhausting.

((A little later:))

We just got back from a little walk around town. We ordered tiramisu and coffee then sat in the Central Park people watching and practicing Spanish.

We met a sweet man named Juan Carlos that played music. we had such a wonderful conversation with him. (Sorry, I had a comfortable seat and was too lazy to get up to get a good pic...)

That's it for now...
