Halfway through day 2...

So, a few random thoughts for now:

- Hostels are amazing. What could be better than staying at a place with a ton of like-minded people (traveling, meeting people, seeing the culture, awesome conversationists, having super deep discussions and totally disagreeing yet still being civil and appreciating others' opinions, and not living a normal life)?

Huge breakfast with Kat and Emily! Can you say good food? Ahh Yum!

- Kids are the best salespeople. This is probably why they are the ones doing most the selling, not their parents. Seriously though, is this child not absolutely adorable?

And this one lowered the price 10q, just for me! Nevermind  the fact that he started out probably 20q too high...

- Market places are probably one of my favorite places in the world. The culture you can experience just by walking around them is incredible! The people here are soo friendly. Even if you don't buy from them, they all cheerfully greet you, compliment you, maybe make small talk. Yeah, I realize they are trying to convince you to buy stuff, but still...at least I have most of my Christmas shopping done! And it's only the first day. Oh man...

- While walking around, we came upon some dancers performing baile de Los  Moros. The wore beautiful costumes with sparkly gems and mirrors and feathers and colors along with masks. We watched for awhile and afterwards got photos with some of them. (:

- And finally, these are the best $6 shoes ever. Soo comfortable to walk in and just chill. Walking shoes are so important. For some reason I do a lot of walking when I travel. Huh.
